The Miss Global competition is set to be held virtually this year due to COVID-19. Miss Global 2021 is scheduled to take place from 25th February 2022 to 1st March 2022 where delegates from all over the world will get an opportunity to represent their countries and win the coveted Miss Global title. The winner of this year’s edition will succeed Miss Global 2019 Karolina Kokesova for the title.

As the contest comes closer, the organization has started introducing candidates for the year. One such candidate is Mónica María Lozano Martínez of Panama. Mónica is a student of performing arts and is currently studying presentation and television. Interestingly, she pursued psychology for seven semesters before, but did not finish her degree.

In a conversation on the official social media of Miss Global, she further revealed, “I studied psychology, I stayed in 7 semesters, I did not finish my degree, but I work in certain foundations where help is given to people who have had problems. With psychoactive substances, in general, I have had the opportunity to work with homeless people. These foundations are non-profit where they are provided with social-emotional-psychological support and they are supplied with some basic needs to support themselves. “

“Currently, this is one of the my projects contribute positive things to all these wonderful people, especially to the vulnerable older adults and the most needy, where should we help them since they are the mirror to others, this is one of my projects but another of my many dreams and desires is to contribute a lot in the life of the indigenous people of my country Panama is to be able to work on the empowerment of the women, this is achieved in order to recognize the work of these artisan women who will be the pillars of my brand where everything that has to do with accessories, crafts, bags will be worked on and their material will be miyuki and ecological resources since this will help us to protect the environment, and also May the work of these artisan women be recognized internationally and thus be able to provide great opportunities and more employment in order to be beneficial to them,” she added.

Not new to the world of beauty competitions, Martinez previously won the title of Mundo Cauca 2019. She will be responsible to represent Panama at the upcoming edition of Miss Global.
