The Miss Global organization hosted the the coronation ceremony of Miss Global 2021 and Miss Global 2022 on 11th June 2022 in Bali, Indonesia. The Miss Global pageant, which canceled both of its 2020 and 2021 editions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, crowned both their 2021 and 2022 queens during the finals night. At the end of the event, Shane Quintana Tormes of Philippines was crowned as the new Miss Global 2022, while UAE’s Jessica Da Silva was named Miss Global 2021.

Miss Global 2022 Shane Tormes’ court includes –

First runner-up – Sandra Lin of Malaysia

Second runner-up – Brooke Rankin of Australia

Third runner-up – Sandra Boriseviciute of Lithuania

Fourth runner-up – Natalia Gurgel of Brazil

After winning the crown Shane has become the first Filipina beauty queen to take home the Miss Global title, also won the Best in Talent award. The winners have succeeded Miss Global 2019 Karoli´na Kokesova´ of Czech Republic for the title.

Shane is a 29-year-old charismatic event host and a gifted singer with an impressive resume as a pageant veteran. She is highly enthusiastic about beauty pageants and believes she is ready to show off her talents to the world. She hopes to inspire others and assist them in working toward a better life via pageantry.

Not new to pageantry, Tormes was Miss Philippines Fire 2020 as she finished as one of the runners-up at Miss Philippines Earth 2020 and bagged the Binibining Friendship and Talent special awards at Binibining Pilipinas 2018.

The diva was nurtured by her grandparents, who instilled in her the virtues that have served her well throughout her life. She recalls her grandmother, a teacher, dragging her along to various outreach programmes that exposed her to life's harsh realities. And she realised that blessings are meant to be shared in order to encourage people and improve their lives. Shane resolved after her grandmother's death to follow in her grandmother's footsteps and carry on her vision.
