The organization of Miss Australia crowned Denika Donnelly as the new Miss Global Australia 2020/2021 on 15th May 2021 at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cover Resort, Manor Cir, Hope Island, Queensland, Australia. Denika Donnelly has succeeded Miss Global Australia 2019 Mikaela-Rose Fowler and now will represent Australia at Miss Global 2021.

After winning the crown, Denika took to her social media to share the exciting news with her fans and followers. She posted a picture of her with the crown and sash and wrote, " I am beyond shocked at the incredible journey I am about to embark on. Mikaela Rose Flower you have left big tippy tops for me to fill. This opportunity and title hold many opportunities and gives a platform to amplify my platform for female empowerment. I knew in my heart that Miss Global Australia was meant for me and that my journey would be through this system. I have never worked harder and felt more passionate before in my past 6 years of pageantry. I can finally say I feel at home and do not take this opportunity lightly. "

Hailing from Perth, Denika is 25-years-old and stands 162 cm tall. She has a degree in Counterterrorism and Security Intelligence, majoring in Criminology. She is passionate about beauty pageants and in an interview, she shared that one of her students helped her to enter pageantry and she fell in love with the world and that is why she is still here. With Denika Donnelly being crowned Miss Global Australia 2020/2021, Courtney Tester was also crowned Miss Intercontinental Australia 2020/2021 at the end of the event finale.

Denika had previously participated in Miss Galaxy Australia 2015, Face of the Globe Australia 2016 and International United Miss 2018, and Miss Galaxy Australia 2020. She explained her international experience as' ‘incredible’ and '' ‘surreal’. She is excited about taking over the crown duties and starting preparing herself for Miss Global 2021. She is experienced and loves to be on-stage as she explains that beauty pageants provide women and girls with a platform to not only work for their cause but also empower other girls and women.

The diva is strong, confident, and assured about herself and is hoping to prepare herself in the best way possible to win the title for Australia. In her interview, she shared that she has doubted herself for the longest time but, when she was adjudged as the first runner-up at Miss Galaxy Australia 2020, she understood that people around her feel that she has the capability, but it is her who must find the same thing and keep working hard to achieve her goals. So, for Miss Australia 2021, Denika took her time to reflect on herself and focused on her goals when it comes to pageantry, and worked her way.

The diva is dedicated to empowering young women while allowing them to grow and develop a positive self-image. She has volunteered at the Greenwood toy library, the Australian Red Cross sorting clothes, 65 Roses for Cystic Fibrosis, the HBF Run for a Reason, and Mother’s Day Classic, as well as walking to D’feet MND (motor neuron disease).

In a social media post, she stated that she has grown so much in the last 14 months that she no longer recognizes the old pageant Denika, and she is very proud of herself. She is beautiful, strong, and confident about herself and is working on herself to let that self-doubt go away. She mentioned, "Powerful things happen when you start putting in the work to achieve your goals. Believe you are enough and stop comparing yourself. We are all on our own journey and chances are the girl you're comparing yourself to is comparing herself to you. See the worth in yourself that others see in you too.”

Congratulation’s queen!
