At the conclusion of the grand finale of Miss Global Beauty Queen 2017 held on 19th October 2017 in Seoul, South Korea, Hoang Thu Thao from Vietnam was crowned as the winner. She bested forty other beauties from all over the globe, following in the footsteps of last year’s pageant winner Nguyen Thi Ngoc Duyen who was also from Vietnam.

Miss Global Beauty queen 2015 Vethaka Pethsuk from Thailand passed the crown to the winner as Nguyen Thi Ngoc Duyen could not attend the finale due to her health reasons.

At the same event, Pauline Escartefigues from France, Lorena Rodrigues from Brazil, Samantha Mullins from Australia and Kim Doeun from South Korea finished as the first runner-up, the second runner-up, the third runner-up and the fourth runner-up respectively.

This 23-year-old beauty stands tall at 172 cm and currently works as a model for some advertising agencies. She is not new to the world of pageantry as she earlier participated in Miss Asia Pacific International 2016 and managed to reach in Top 6 but could not win the title for her country. She also participated in International Tourism Missions Queen of the Year 2016 in China. In this competition, she won the "Best Ethnic Dress" award and also managed to reach in Top 10.

After winning the title Hoàng expressed her happiness by thanking everyone, “Thank You, my people for supporting me throughout my journey, this couldn’t be possible without you. Thank you to my friends and family who supported me when I needed them the most.”

Please note that this pageant is different from Miss Global pageant, which is scheduled to be held in Cambodia on 18th November 2017.
