Miss Global Organization has recently announced that they will not be accepting Miss Global Philippines 2018 Eileen Gonzales as an official candidate in Miss Global 2018.

The reason cited for the same is that Miss Global Organization has not appointed a new National Director in the country.
Through a post on their official Facebook page they have announced, “There seems to be some confusion in Vietnam and the Philippines. To be clear, Miss Global Organization has not signed a new National Director in either country, however we are about to make this selection and announce several exciting updates. In the Philippines, Ms. Pauline Laping's professional relationship with Miss Global was terminated for multiple reasons.”
The Organization went on to clarify, saying, “We want to make it very clear that our organization will NOT accept the winner from Miss Global Philippines. Stay tuned as the remainder of this year is going to be very exciting and power packed! We are proud of our original Founder and CEO, Tea Mak, for all her hard work over the years, and her dedication to living out our mission to Empower Women, Embracing Cultures, Embodying the Beauty Within. Respectfully, MGO Team.”
