Over time I came to see that being a miss is not just about having a crown on your head and a pretty face, and the more I discovered what it is to be a miss plus my desire to fulfill this dream was fed, there were many barriers because before going after this dream I needed to graduate, and the age has passed today already at the limit of everything, I feel satisfied, because I was approved to participate in one of the biggest beauty contests in the world. I'm counting on all of you on this journey to make my dream come true,” said Márcia.

This year, Angola will be sending their representative after 5 years of absence at the Miss Grand International event. Angola made its debut at Miss Grand International 2015 which at that time was represented by Meriam Kaxuxwena, who made it into the Top 20 semifinalists.

The 9th version of Miss Grand International will take place in Phuket, Thailand, where candidates from more than 60 countries and autonomous territories will compete for the title and crown for 2 weeks.
