The coronation ceremony for Miss Grand Ecuador 2022 took place on 26th March 2022 at Horel Sheraton in Guayaquil, where Emilia Vasquez was crowned as the official representative of Concurso Nacional de Belleza to Miss Grand International 2022.

A native Quito, Emilia is 26 years-old and stands 173cm tall. She obtained her degree in Media and Entertainment Management at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa in Buenos Aires in the month of July 2019. She currently works as a creative director for different brands.

As a social activist, she has worked with RenaSER which works as an online psychological support with 3 active psychologists, and 23 patients currently. She also held a fashion show called, Khuyana, organized to raise funds and generate the first medical brigade, general check-ups and Covid-19 tests, as well as emotional support for the Mulaló community; in total 24 people were attended; older adults and children living in extreme poverty. She has also worked with Celebrate Life, which is still active with support for people in a palliative state.

Among her hobbies and part of her lifestyle is playing sports, she trains daily and accompanied by a healthy lifestyle. She loves to cook, write and read. Not new to pageantry, the diva has been a part of numerous regional and national competitions and was also adjudged as the first runner-up to Miss Grand Ecuador 2021.

Crowning her successor, Miss Grand Ecuador 2021 Andrea Aguilera was accompanied by the reigning queen, Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, who is currently on her Latin tour visiting South America.
