It is very liberating to see beauty queens from all over the world supporting their pageant sisters, lifting them up, sharing their love and appreciation for each other. This type of unity is usually not expected in the pageant world due to its competitive nature. But now it seems like apart from the stressful environment and experience gained during different beauty pageants, the delegates also take home memories of new friends and hopes of meeting them again.
Similar is the case for Miss Grand Philippines 2018 Eva Psychee Patalinjug who has found a fan and a well-wisher in the first runner-up of Miss Grand International 2018 Meenakshi Chaudhary from India. Both Eva and Meenakshi were co-competitors for the title of Miss Grand International 2018 held on 25th October 2018. Even though Clara Sosa from Paraguay took home the crown, all the other contestants went home winners with the knowledge of different cultures and environments and more so, friends from different countries.
Meenakshi took to her official social media account to write a very heartwarming message to Eva. The Indian div started by writing, “Dear Eva, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know you personally, and the time we spent together was so great! Because of your beautiful, soft, and kind nature, I was able to experience some of your beautiful countries through you! Know that you’re a very beautiful and special soul.”
Encouraging Eva, Meenakshi wrote, “You wore your country’s sash so well. I may be biased, but to me, you’re one of the best representatives that have ever come out of the country!” And Eva is indeed worthy of this praise as she was already experienced when it came to the pageant world. The Filipino beauty was the titleholder of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014. Eva also was the second runner-up of Miss Mandaue 2013. Miss Grand International was her first international representation of her country.
Ending her beautiful post to Eva, Meenakshi wrote, “It was an absolute privilege to meet and interact with someone like you! I have nothing but gratitude at the fact that we met! Mahal Kita my Pinoy Queen. The best is yet to come. There’s only one you! And YOU are amazing!!! P.S. I love this picture!!!”
Responding to the sisterly love that Meenakshi expressed to Eva, the latter responded by commenting on her post and wrote, “Thank you for your kind words. I will forever treasure our friendship. No words can express how grateful I am to have met someone so beautiful inside and outs you. Stay grounded, love you!”
Seems like their friendship will go a long way into the future!
