In the latest announcement, due to the corona virus pandemic scare across 90 countries, Miss Grand International organization might not host the 2020 edition this year and will postpone it till early 2021. The decision has come in because of the rampant spread of covid-19 which has made the national competitions difficult to be organized.

The organization’s president Mr. Nawat Itsagrisil has not given an official statement regarding the matter, but what is known is that the contest was scheduled to be held on 25th October 2020 and because of the pandemic there is no clarity as to how the event will be hosted in Venezuela. Also, since Venezuela is also struck hard with the pandemic, the country might also benefit from the extra time in organizing the competition.

Miss Grand International 2019 Valentina Figuera might be in for the long haul as she is continuing her reigning responsibilities from Thailand hand in hand with the organization. The 19-year-old stunning beauty who hails from Caracas, Venezuela is the first Venezuelan woman to win the international crown for her country.

Miss Grand International (MGI), becoming the world’s leading international beauty pageant, has made its own place in the pageantry since its inception in 2013. Promoting awareness against wars and violence, the pageant has produced stunning beauties who have worked tirelessly for the cause.
