Miss Grand International 2020 Top 15: Aurra Kharishma from Indonesia

The 8th edition of Miss Grand International, i.e., Miss Grand International 2020, is all set to be held on 27th March 2021 in Bangkok, Thailand where stunning beauties from all over the globe will compete for the international crown. Miss Grand International 2019 Valentina Figuera will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

While this year’s batch boasts of stunning and talented beauties, there are a few ladies who have stood out amongst the rest and show the immense capability to be the winner of the 2020 edition. In a series of features, we’d love to introduce to you our Top 15 favourite contestants for the crown.

 

 

Aurra Kharishma from Indonesia was crowned Miss Grand Indonesia 2020 on 21st June 2020, and was held at Goodrich Suites, Artotel Portfolio, Jakarta. After winning the title, Kharisma admitted that the title of Miss Grand Indonesia 2020 was the highest achievement in her career as a professional model. She added, "I am very grateful, because this is a dream come true. To be Miss Grand Indonesia 2020 and could represent Indonesia in the Miss Grand International 2020 later. Here I am learning to become a complete beauty queen who should be an inspiration to many people.”

Hailing from Majalengka , Aurra is 21-years-old and stands 181 cm tall. She is post-graduation student majoring in Public Relations from Universitas Mercu Buana. She aspires to win the title and make the people of Indonesia proud along with owning a small book store and cafe so she can share more about her intentions to books. She would also like to travel around the world more, exploring the local tradition.

 

 

The organization mentioned, "We have provided Aurra with public speaking training, English language skills, catwalk training, self-esteem training, makeup and hair do train and regular exercises which are carried out in the gym area in Roseville Soho & Suite, BSD, Tangerang. ready physically and mentally.” The diva’s arrival picture was the most liked picture by the public which gave her a chance to have a dinner with the director of Miss Grand International.

The beauty queen ended her speech at Miss Grand Indonesia 2020 with, “I am Aurra Kharishma, I firmly believe that peace can begin with me, you, and us. Let's live together in harmony to achieve the life of peace we dream of so that's why peace can begin with us. Thank you.” She has been performing exceptionally well at the competition and is one of the favourites for the title. She strongly believes that women across the world should be given opportunities to showcase themselves as strong and confident individuals and work towards something they deeply believe in.

“The beauty is come from yourself, your head, and your heart. Build it with confidence, knowledge, and positivity to make yourself come out to be the best version of you,” she shared. Aurra’s advocacy is Peace Starts Within Us which is about self-love and confidence and will use the platform to reach out to people to encourage more and more people to understand the concept of self-love. She would also like to keep continuing the same advocacy after her reign ends and make it go worldwide.

 

 

Aurra shared that she would love to be associated with the Miss Grand Indonesia organization and share her experience and skills with her successor. The diva also mentioned that she was hesitant about her communication skills especially when it comes to English but now with hard work, determination, and much training she has been able to reach a point where she is confident about her communication. She would like to keep doing what she is doing and include mental health awareness in future with her advocacy especially during the digital era. She added, “Life becomes more meaningful if you love yourself and surrounded by people who really have intentions towards it, positivity, care, full of love, but push you hard to bring out the best of you. start to learn something outside your comfort zone, I know it wasn’t easy but you have to believe in yourself.”

Aurra has been one of the consistent performers at the quarantine activities and her confidence and positive attitude has been appreciated by everyone. She is one of the front-runners for the title.
