The 8th edition of the Miss Grand International i.e., Miss Grand International 2020 was scheduled to be held in the month of October 2020 in the city of Caracas, Venezuela. The delegates from all over the world will compete for the title. At the end of the event, Miss Grand International in 2019 Valentina Figuera from Venezuela, will crown her successor. But due to the pandemic the Miss Grand International Organization has decided to postpone the pageant to early 2021. There hasn’t been any official announcement regarding the pageant’s postponing to 2021 so the confirmation is still awaiting.
Angela Michelle Leon Yuriar who was crowned Miss Sinaloa 2018 is one of the delegates who has been finalized for the Miss Grand Mexico 2020 title. She seems like a potential delegate to represent Mexico at Miss Grand International 2020 stage.
Hailing from the city of Culiacán, Angela is 20-years-old and stands 178 cm tall. She is a student of international trade. She works as a professional model. Her great passion is sport, especially softball. She is very passionate about beauty pageants and feels that she has the skills and abilities to represent Mexico at Miss Grand International stage.
The diva who represented Sinaloa at Miss Mexico 2018 is very close to her culture, values, and traditions which she feels brings on the responsibility to represent it aptly on-stage. She feels blessed and excited to be a part of Miss Grand Mexico 2020 and hopes to win it at the end of the event finale. She has always been grateful for the experiences and opportunities that have come on her way which has helped her to gain experience as well as intensive knowledge about her work.
Angela believes “We must educate more to become aware of and support social causes, especially young people to attend and see the reality of things, they are also human beings and they take a lot of support in all conditions, I invite them to come closer.” She has lived with destitute, unemployed, and drug addicts which has helped her to stay firm and determined towards her cause which is to raise her voice for them and support such causes. “Being with all of them, made me a very strong situation, an experience that I had not lived, nor with the children, because now I had to live with drug addicts, with people who looked very bad, and it is unfortunate to see that they are in this situation. The truth is very sad to see them like this, which is why we need to encourage society to support these types of causes, “she said.
She has worked with her various designers and brands in Mexico which has let her gain experience as well as knowledge about beauty pageants that will be an added advantage for her during the competition. The people she has worked with has mentioned that she is extremely hard working, quick to learn, and very indulged in her work. She loved to be on-stage and on-camera as she feels confident and empowered. The diva is working out every day to maintain herself healthy and fit for the competition. She is positive and very enthusiast to be a part of stage that will help her to showcase and talk about the things she believes in. She is beautiful, experienced, and determined to win and believes in, “Never take your sights off your goal!”
With her immense dedication and determination to win the title and make Mexico proud, Angela Yuriar can be a strong contender at Miss Grand International 2020. She has time as of now to work on her skills she feels needs more improvement before the finale approaches.
