Miss Universe Ghana 2020, the annual edition of Miss Ghana, was all set to host its coronation night soon where delegates from all over the country will compete for national crown and the opportunity to represent Ghana in Miss Universe 2020. The national director of Miss Universe Ghana will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

The national director of Miss Universe Ghana, Menaye Donkor Muntari has recently announced that the organization will be hosting a private ceremony to interview potential candidates and select the potential delegate to represent the country of Ghana at Miss Universe 2020 stage. Ghana hasn’t competed at Miss Universe stage since 2018 but this year the organization is determined to elect a representative who’d not only represent the country fairly but also mark her own standing at the competition for future delegates to remember.

Previously, the organization had announced that they’ll be keeping the pageant on hold until situation calms down in the country. Mrs. Muntari explained, “The hold on the pageant will enable the Miss Universe Ghana Organization to accommodate a new arrangement for the selection of contestants, which will include holding auditions in four zones around the country.” But now, the news of hosting a private ceremony for selecting the delegate for the pageant comes as a sign of hope for the gorgeous divas who will be competing for the national title.

Miss Universe Ghana is a beauty pageant that serves as one of the nation’s leading promoters of women empowerment, and the largest providers of women’s nurturing resource, offering a well-rounded platform to young Ghanaian women annually. The organization’s aim is to work fiercely to make a difference in the lives of Ghanaian women and to promote tourism in and outside Ghana.

The Miss Universe Ghana competition, since its new inception, has provided a forum to strengthen the voices of Ghanaian women, changing the status quo by ensuring women’s inclusivity in building the nation.
