Miss Grand Netherlands 2019 has been recently announced and the winner is none other than Margaretha de Jong. After being appointed, she has earned the right to represent the Netherlands at Miss Grand International 2019. She succeeds Miss Grand Netherlands 2018 Kimberley Xhofleer.
The diva after being appointed, revealed her happiness and excitement as she took to her official Instagram account where she posted, “As Miss Grand International 2019, I will use my voice to stand up for those who can’t use their voice. For those who have to flee or hide for all kind of inhumanity happening nowadays in this world. I believe that all mankind and in special children has the right to life in humanitarian conditions. I do believe that we are one human race and that we are one global community wherefore we should help out each other in need. I’m filled with excitement and feel honoured to travel to Venezuela to represent my beautiful country the Netherlands!”
The 22-year-old newly appointed beauty has completed her schooling from Hanze Hogeschool. She will be able to stand out at the pageant from the rest as she has already competed in Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2018, where she marked her success as Miss Earth Netherlands 2018. She studies to become a higher educated nurse wherefore she’s currently doing her bachelor thesis. Her hobbies are fitness, windsurfing, swimming, travelling and spending time with her family and loved ones. She also works as a model and besides that, she’s working in a hospital as well.
Her ambition after she finishes her studies is to work as a critical care nurse and help more children who live in inhuman conditions so they get a fair chance in life. With such an ambition, she will definitely win the hearts of many.
