Miss Grand UK organization has selected its representative of Scotland to compete in Miss Grand International 2020 as they took to their official social media to make the announcement. Helen Maher has been appointed Miss Grand Scotland 2020 as she succeeds Miss Grand Scotland 2019 Freya Taylor for the crown.
After being appointed as Miss Grand Scotland 2020, Helen took to her social media account to thank the organization of Miss Grand Scotland for believing in her and trusting her with the title. She is very excited to be a part of such prestigious stage and feels that she will be able to perform her best and make the people of Scotland proud.
Helen is 25-years-old and feels that no one should ever give up on their dreams and work twice as harder as they were and everything, they have dreamt off will come towards them. She is not new to pageantry as she was the part of Miss Earth Northern Ireland 2018 and her advocacy focused on Animal Rescue and Puppy Farming. ‘End cruelty, stop puppy farming,’ was her motto.
The diva personally feels and has expressed that when people hear the term, ‘beauty pageant’, they think that its all about look buy that is a misconception as the organization looks over everything including a delegate’s attitude, intelligence, communication, and aim to compete at a beauty pageant before selecting them. They need a powerful and impactful personality to represent a country and if she wins the crown. She has a degree in performing arts from Northern Regional College Ballymoney and is very determined to win the pageant.
For Helen, beauty pageant is about empowerment and self-confidence and strongly feels that beauty can be found in so many things and she is always in search of beauty in little things. According to her beauty pageant are about the entire personality of a diva and she is excited and honoured that Miss Grand Scotland has trusted her with the title.
Helen has already started to prepare herself for the finale event even though it is scheduled for next year and is focusing on learning about current affairs in the world for the communication and interview round. She is training for her walk-on stage, posing on stage, body angles, body postures, and maintaining her mental space and confidence on-stage. The diva is also giving her health utmost attention and working out every day to maintain healthy and fit body.
She has expressed her gratitude for all the opportunities she has received and mentioned that her stint at Miss Earth Northern Ireland 2018 has helped her to learn new things which will surely help her at the competition. With her positive attitude towards winning and just participating at the competition, Helen Maher can emerge as a frontrunner for the title.
