Born in Suriname, at the age of two, Safina moved to the Netherlands. With indefinite struggle, it took them ten years to get their passports. In those 10 years she experienced how hard it was to have nothing, how hard it was to build everything up and how hard it was to be separated from her family.

Being a victim of bullying for years, not only mentally but also physically, Safina is grateful for these opportunities which have made her confident, strong and a fighter as she carries love, respect and faith in her heart. With her experience and empathy, Safina wants to create awareness for those who suffer of war and violence. Even though she was not a victim of war but she can relate to what they are going through.

Safina speaks Dutch, English, Hindi and German, that comes in handy, because she loves to travel. She already visited Korea, India, Belgium, Germany and the UK. What do you think of this beauty queen? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
