Miss Idaho USA 2019 held their grand finale on 30th September 2018 where Shelby Brown was crowned the new state winner. She will now represent Idaho in Miss USA 2019 to be held next year. Shelby succeeded Miss Idaho USA 2018 Téa Draganovic. If Shelby wins the national pageant, she will earn the right to represent the United States in Miss Universe 2019.

Shelby is 24 years of age and is fro the city Boise, Idaho. She is a makeup artist and a hair stylist by profession. Shelby has done her Bachelors in Supply Chain Management from Boise State University. She performed well academically due to which she also received a scholarship.

Shelby has worked in sets for photo shoots and red carpets. It is interesting to note that she has also worked backstage for numerous state and national pageants. Shelby has very recently founded her own line of reusable silk and mink lashes, named Marquess Beauty. She hopes of expanding her business into a full line of cosmetics and salon chains.

Upon winner, Shelby addressed the followers of Miss Idaho USA through their official Facebook page and wrote, “Back at 200 lbs, being crowned Miss Idaho and having the chance to grace the Miss USA stage seemed like a pipe dream. Today, I’m proof that you have the power to do whatever you set your mind to. If you want it bad enough and are willing to put in the work: the world is yours for the taking. Learning to love myself, live a healthy life and take care of the body I’m in doesn’t ever stop. It's a daily challenge and comes with finding who you are on the inside and being content with her before you can truly feel beautiful on the outside.”

Shelby is a very smart, intelligent and brave woman who was able to solve the problems she has faced in her life and address the issue to help others. She is a true inspiration!
