The grand finale of Miss Illinois USA 2019 was held on 3rd September 2018. At the conclusion of the event, Alexandra Plotz was crowned the new representative of Illinois in Miss USA 2019 to be held next year on 21st May 2019. If she manages to win the national pageant, she will have earned the right to represent her nation in Miss Universe 2019.

Alexandra is 23 years of age and has already received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts specialising in Media Communications and a Multicultural Studies Certificate from the University of Missouri. She wants to advocate for the heart health awareness during her reign. Alexandra is the department head of a heart rate monitored interval training program at a corporate gym where she personally trains clients.

Upon winning, Alexandra took to her social media and wrote, “Wow! I cannot express my level of excitement for this coming year! We’re going to Miss USA! It takes a village to get up on that stage and compete. All of my friends and family who supported me the entire way here, thank you for not questioning when I couldn’t come out, or bring my meal preps in public places, to streaming the pageant live and/or being here in person I appreciate you all to no end. Thank you.”

During her free time, Alexandra likes to go to the gym, think about new workout ideas and blog. She also likes to run and has already participated in many 5K races throughout her community for charitable causes, especially for students who need scholarship aid, cancer fundraisers, mental health and suicide awareness.

Alexandra has a very strong personality and she will surely make a very concrete mark in the finale of Miss USA 2019. She was crowned by Miss Illinois USA 2018 Karolina Jasko. The event also saw the crowning of Miss Teen Illinois USA 2019 A'Maiya Allen who will be representing Illinois in Miss Teen USA 2019.
