The exciting finale of Miss Intercontinental 2016 held on 16th October 2016 at Stein Studios, Colombo, Sri Lanka, concluded with the crowning of Heilymar Rosario Velazquez of Puerto Rico as the winner. Heilymar Rosario Velazquez succeeds Miss Intercontinental 2015 Valentina Rasulova of Russia.
Heilymar clinched the coveted crown after defeating more than 60 contestants who competed for the title. At the same pageant, Tracy Ann de Zilva of Sri Lanka was titled the first runner-up, Vera Safoah of Ghana was adjudged the second runner-up, Floriana Russo of Italy was titled the third runner-up and Amal Karina Nemer finished as the fourth runner-up.
The finale kicked off with the contestants’ introduction, moving ahead with the Preliminary Rounds including – Swimsuit and Evening Gown Rounds. After the Preliminary Competitions, the Top 15 finalists were announced for the night –
