The 48th edition of Miss Intercontinental, i.e. Miss Intercontinental 2019, hosted its coronation night tonight, i.e 20th December 2019 at the Hotel Sunrise Montemare Resort in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt where seventy-four delegates competed for the international crown and at the end of the event finale, Fanni Mikó of Hungary was crowned the new queen. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman of Philippines.
Fanni Mikó gave an incredible performance at the international event held tonight. She is 22 years of age, stands tall at an impressive height of 180 cm and hails from Budapest, Hungary. She is a model and a university student studying Business and Accounting. She loves playing the piano, running, horseback riding, learning about other cultures and religions and meeting people with different ideas and thoughts to hers.
Fanni is not new to the world of beauty pageants. In 2016, Fanni competed in Miss World Hungary beauty pageant and later in 2019, she won the Magyarok Világszépe beauty pageant, which entitled her to represent Hungary in Miss Intercontinental 2019. Ever since the contestants were revealed for Miss Intercontinental 2019, Fanni came out as one of the favourites to win the title and was also a part of our Top 12 final favourites for the Miss Intercontinental crown.
The newly crowned Miss Intercontinental 2019 Fanni Mikó’s court included –
First runner-up - Mónica Aguilar of United States of America
Second runner-up - Naruemon Khampan (Jane Naruemon) of Thailand
Third runner-up - Dane Venter of South Africa
Fourth runner-up - Tiffany Yoko Chong Campos of Peru
The coronation night began with the introduction of the contestants, and the candidates from across the globe sashayed the stage in their swimsuits and evening gowns. From the Top 20 contestants, the continental queens were chosen who also made up the Top 5 of the competition; Miss Intercontinental Asia & Oceania was awarded to Naruemon Khampan (Jane Naruemon) of Thailand, Miss Intercontinental Africa was awarded to Dane Venter of South Africa, Miss Intercontinental Europe was awarded to Fanni Mikó of Hungary, Miss Intercontinental North America was awarded to Mónica Aguilar of United States of America while Miss Intercontinental South America was awarded to Tiffany Yoko Chong Campos of Peru.
A number of special awards were also awarded to the delegates during the coronation night which included –

Suman Chellani, Miss Intercontinental India 2018 and India TV Host, and German TV Host Holger Salmen were the hosts of the event who kept the audience entertained throughout the night. The jury for the night comprised of Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman, Miss Intercontinental 2010 Maydelise Columna of Puerto Rico, Top Model of the World 2018 Janet Leyva of Peru, Times Models Zurich owner Christoph Locher of Switzerland, actress Cinthia Aparico of Mexico and marketing director Habiba Eishaer.
