The 50th edition of Miss Intercontinental has officially begun as the contestants have arrived in Sharm El Sheik in Egypt from across the globe to compete at the international pageant. The pageant kicked off last weekend as the delegates were welcomed in the sashing ceremony.

The delegates from countries such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Curacao, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Greece, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Thailand, USA, and Vietnam impressed everyone with their idiosyncratic personalities at the sashing ceremony.

Around 70 contestants are currently competing for the international crown as one of them will win Miss Intercontinental 2022 title and succeed Cinderella Faye Elle Obeñita from the Philippines, the reigning Miss Intercontinental.

The countries of Cambodia, United Arab Emirates, Sierra Leone are debuting at the pageant this year while Benin, Ecuador, Lebanon, Namibia, United Kingdom retired from this year’s edition at Miss Intercontinental.

The finale of Miss Intercotinental 2022 is scheduled to take place on Friday, 14th October 2022 at the Meraki Resort in Sharm El Sheik. Sharm El Sheik is an Egyptian city located at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula and between the coastal strip of the Red Sea and Mount Sinai.
