Miss Intercontinental Puerto Rico organization, on 16th August 2022, took to their official social media to announce that Mariela Pepin will be representing Puerto Rico at the upcoming edition of Miss Intercontinental, to be held in Egypt.

Mariela Pepin is 26 years of age and the owner of a digital marketing agency. Not new to the pageant world, Mariela is a former Miss Maryland USA 2019. She also placed in the Top 7 at Miss World Puerto Rico 2022. The stunning beauty had always been a crowd favourite in the pageant world to represent Puerto Rico at an international pageant.

On winning the Miss Intercontinental Puerto Rico 2022, Mariela took to her official social media as she wrote, “Beyond excited and proud to announce that I am @missintercontinentalpr 2022, and I will represent Puerto Rico in the 50th edition of Miss Intercontinental in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt this October. I’ll admit it feels strange to be celebrating, while also mourning the loss of my grandpa… but I’m trying to imagine that he’s watching from above and celebrating up there too.”

Mariela was more than excited to begin a new journey. “If you had told me just two weeks ago that I’d have another crown on my head or that I’d ever step on another pageant stage to compete… I wouldn’t have believed you.. but hard work and effort pay off. I’ve always said that winning isn’t always about taking home the trophy or the crown, but about the lessons and experience you gain. This journey has brought me much of both, and it’s only the beginning! Starting today, it’s intense prep for Miss Intercontinental in Egypt this October. I’m super excited to bring you all along on this journey with me”, she quoted.
