Amber Corbett – The first black woman to represent USA at Miss Intercontinental 2023

Amber Corbett, a native New Yorker from the Bronx, was crowned Miss Intercontinental USA 2023 on 22nd July 2023 at The Ready Rooftop, New York, making history as the first Black woman to represent USA in the pageant since it began in 1971.

Amber Corbett, with her extensive educational qualifications, graduated cum laude from Pace University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in advertising and integrated marketing communication. Currently, she works as a marketing coordinator in ad sales at NBCUniversal Peacock and Scripted Development Division.



With her reign, Corbett is committed to promoting diversity and representation in the media. She plans to continue her support resource called ‘She’s Represented’ which serves as a safe and empowering space for women of color in corporate America.

Amber, as USA’s representative, will represent as the goodwill ambassador for the Miss Intercontinental Organization, focusing on societal issues such as drug abuse, poverty eradication, gender equality, health, nutrition, and environmental conservation.



Miss Intercontinental 2023, the 51st edition of the international pageant, will be held on 15th December 2023 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc Miss Intercontinental 2022 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
