Today the contestants of Miss International 2015 attended the welcome party sponsored by Akemi Shimomura, the chairperson of the International Cultural Association (ICA) at the posh new building of Miss Paris in Ginza, Tokyo.
This is the first event where all the delegates of Miss International 2015 dressed their best and made up for the party. The social skills and performances of the beauties are gradually being judged despite their jet lag tired bodies.
All the contestants are expected to serve as “Ambassadors of Peace and Beauty”, demonstrating tenderness, benevolence, friendship, beauty, intelligence, ability to take action, and, most importantly, a great international sensibility.

As far as pageant rules are concerned, all the contestants are supposed to mingle with the guests affably rather than being glued with their roommates or respective groups. However, some girls are too reserved to even interact or start a conversation. It’s also noticeable if the contestants are having a conversation with a dignitary, a staff, media crew or waiter, the good nature of a particular delegate is being judged all the time.

Miss International 2015 will be held on November 5, 2015 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa’s Hiten Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Valerie Hernandez of Puerto Rico will crown her successor at the end of the event with a new crown created and designed by Mikimoto. Traditionally, Miss International lives in Tokyo during her reign.
