Miss International 2021 to be held in November

The 60th edition of Miss International i.e., Miss International 2021 is scheduled to take place in November 2021 in the Pacific Yokohama, Japan. Miss International 2019 Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand will crown her successor at the end of the event. Miss International 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic across the globe.

The diva posted a picture of herself with the crown and captioned it "See you in November" and later the organization confirmed the news via social media stories. After holding onto the crown for two consecutive years, Sireethorn Leearamwat will hand over her crown at the end of the year in Japan. This will be the second time the pageant has been cancelled since 1966; when Long Beach, United States had decided to discontinue the pageant permanently and this year was because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organization had previously announced that the pageant would be held on 21st October 2020, in Tokyo Dome City Hall, Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan, while the contestants will spend some days in Yokohama but, the rapid increase in the covid19 cases was the reason the organization decided to postpone the competition.

Miss International organization also announced that they have decided to change the age limit from 27 years to 30 years for the beauty competition. As of today, 27 delegates have been crowned or appointed to represent their countries at Miss International 2021. Sireethorn Leearamwat was crowned as the Miss International 2019 on 12th November 2019 at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Bunkyo district, Tokyo, Japan. She is the first woman from Thailand to win Miss International, and the first Thai delegate to win one of the Big Four international beauty pageants since Bui Simon was crowned Miss Universe.
