According to the rumors circling the pageant community, the 60th edition of Miss International, i.e., Miss International 2021, is scheduled to be held in November 2021 at Pacifico Yokohama, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, could be postponed to November 2022.

The beauty pageant which was scheduled to be held in October 2020 at Tokyo Dome City Hall, Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan, was postponed due to the Covid19 pandemic, and finally, November 2021 was decided upon. But the increasing number of cases across the world has put the organization into thinking mode again and the rumors of the pageant being postponed again are circulating.

Recently, Yuridia Durán who was elected Miss International Mexico in 2019, during a live session, mentioned that the beauty competition she has been preparing for almost three and a half years now is likely to be postponed once again due to the rapidly increasing number of cases across the world. A few of the national directors have also mentioned in their interactive sessions that the pageant could be postponed, but there is no official statement from Miss International organization regarding the same.

After a lot of discussions and various opinions online, the organization of Miss International has put an end to opting for a virtual pageant as it tweeted "No to Virtual Pageant" from their official Twitter account. If the Miss International organization decides to postpone the pageant, then the reigning queen, Sireethorn Leearamwat, of Thailand, will become the longest-reigning queen in the history of the pageant.
