As the countries are gearing up to find the perfect representatives for the 2017 international pageants, Argentina has crowned its delegate for the Miss International 2017 pageant. At the conclusion of the gala finale of La Reina de La Republica Argentina 2017 (Miss International Argentina 2017), Belén Garro was crowned as the winner. The finale was held at Hotel Portal de Lago in Córdoba, Argentina. 20 year old Belén is a student of architect and also a model by profession. Candidates from around 70 nations and autonomous territories will compete for the title of Miss International 2017. At the end of the event, Kylie Verzosa, Miss International 2016 of the Philippines will crown her successor.

At the finals of La Reina de La Republica Argentina 2017, Vicky Periotti and Maria Florencia Trejo were announced as first and second runners-up respectively. With a tall frame and toned body, Belén Garro looks like a strong bet for the title. Also, she has a good amount of time to prepare herself for the Miss International 2017 pageant. Miss International Argentina 2016 Yoana el Carmen made it to the Top 16 finalists list at the Miss International pageant last year. Argentina has won the Miss International pageant just once, so far, which was in the year 1967 under the representation of Mirta Massa.
