The coronation night of Miss Macau 2019 was held on 13th August 2019 at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena. where 12 shortlisted delegates competed for the title as well as an opportunity to represent Macau at international pageants. The theme of the beauty pageant was “Celebrating the genuine beauty pf Macau”. The grand event highlighted the intelligence, elegance, and confidence of Macau’s young women and the part they played in the ongoing development of Macau.

Dinelle Wong from Macau is 24-years-old and studied event management from Bournemouth University. She was adjudged the title of second-runner-up by the end of the Miss Macau 2019 finale. She was announced to be a representative of Macau at Miss International 2020.

Before Miss Macau 2019 or Miss International Macau 2020, Dinelle was an exchange student at IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems where she worked on her English-speaking skills and build up her confidence. She was always very optimistic about fulfilling her dreams and ambitions one day and Miss International Macau 2020’s platform is giving her the chance.

One of her reasons for competing was that part of the winner’s job is to promote Macao abroad. “It was a bit sad for me to see that 80 percent of the people I met in Europe knew nothing about Macau,” says Dinelle. She wants to use the platform of Miss International 2020 to showcase her culture and traditions to everyone around the world and promote tourism in the country.

Dinelle is young but very confident that she has the skills and abilities to win the title of Miss International 2020. She has started preparing herself for the pageant as she is working on perfecting her on-stage walk, body postures and angles, her communication and interview skills which would help her during the pageant.

Dinelle maybe new to the international pageant world but she has the experience and knowledge about the pageant world as she competed in Miss Macau 2019 and has worked as a model professionally. The diva already received intensive training sessions from experts in makeup application, etiquette, personal image, fashion styling, interpersonal communication, catwalk, and performance, to help bring out their best for the Miss Macau 2019 pageant. These training sessions will help her during Miss International 2020.
