Miss International 2021 will be the 60th edition of Miss International pageant, held on November, 2021 at Pacifico Yokohama, Yokohama City, Japan after being postponed twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Miss International 2019, Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand will crown her successor at the end of the event.
The Miss International organization, an hour ago, announced the official license holder of Miss International in Romania, Ada-Marie Ileana, the newly crowned Miss International Romania 2021.As the organization announced her appointment, Ada took to her social media to share the news. She wrote, “I'm incredibly excited about this! I was a little girl when I started to dream about visiting Japan one day. And Miss International has been one of my favourite pageants and I haven't missed any show in the last years. So, two of my dreams are coming true at the same time and I'm happy to have you all with me on this journey!”
Hailing from Bucharest, Ada is 23-years-old and is currently finishing her Master's Degree in Public Policy at University College London. She also has a degree in Security Studies and she's passionate about diplomacy. She has been a Cambridge certified English teacher for almost 5 years.
Ada’s advocacy focuses on improving the educational system in Romania, which she decided on while working with children during her teaching days. She is now focusing on creating her own NGO for quality educational policies. She says, “I promise to use my title to continue to raise awareness on issues close to my heart, such as education and gender equality”
Not new to the world of pageantry, Ada has previously represented Romania in two international pageants: Miss Tourism World 2018 and Miss Tourism International 2018. She is also currently the 3rd runner-up at Miss Universe Romania. Ada also mentioned that she feels great honour to represent her country again. She aims to promote Romanian traditions, alongside the NGO Etonique and Romanian designers.
Ada is confident and prepared for her journey at the Miss International pageant and urges her followers to “Keep on watching because the next 6 months will surely be incredible!”
