Miss International organization, through their official social media, announced the designation of Mariam Ben Abroug as the new Miss International Tunisia 2023 as she became her country’s official representative to Miss International 2023.

Mariam Ben Abroug is 27 years of age and hails from Tunisia. She is a clinical neuropsychologist with a postgraduate diploma in cognitive remediation therapy. After her internship as a neuropsychologist in the National Institute of Neurology in Tunisia, she worked in private practice psychology office in her country before embarking on a new adventure as a flight attendant for one of the world's leading airlines in the United Arab Emirates.

Alongside her career in aviation, Mariam is actively pursuing her dream of becoming a space psychologist. She is currently an analog astronaut, participating in the ‘Habitat Marte’ project, which fosters aerospace skill development in the Southern Hemisphere. As a member of the Tunisian Space Association, she dreams to contribute to the advancement of space research in her country and North Africa.

Mariam also supports gender equality in the space exploration industry. She is a linguist, fluent in Arabic, French, and English, while also dedicating her efforts to learn Spanish. Additionally, she holds an international scuba diving license from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors. Talk about beauty with brains!

Mariam will surely be a strong contender for the international crown with her extensive accomplishments in her profession, her strong advocacy and absolute stunning beauty. Tunisia last participated at Miss International in 2019.

Miss International 2023, the 61st edition of Miss International, will be held at the Yoyogi Gymnasium No. 2 in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan on 26th October 2023 where Miss International 2022 Jasmin Selberg of Germany will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
