At the conclusion of the grand coronation night of Miss Venezuela 2019 held hours ago in Estudio 1 de Venevisión, Caracas, Melissa Jimenez was crowned Miss International Venezuela 2019 as she became the official representative of Venezuela in Miss International 2019. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss International Venezuela 2018 Mariem Claret Velazco who is also the reigning Miss International.

The 20-year-old Melissa representing Zulia is currently studying Nutrition and Diet. Standing 174 cm tall, Melissa was a sight to behold at the competition. Being the successor of the current Miss International, there will surely be a lot of pressure riding on her to perform with equal excellence and grace at the upcoming international contest. She is also a gymnast, model and a life coach.
Twenty four contestants competed in the national competition and gave their best performances to move forward. The four hosts of the evening were Fanny Ottati, Henrys Silva, Jose Andres Pardon and none other than Miss International 2018 Mariem Claret Velazco.

At the finale, Thalia Olvino Torres was crowned Miss Universe Venezuela 2019 and will now represent in Miss Universe 2019. Her court included First Finalist María Ledezma Navarro, Second Finalist Vanessa Carolina Coello Coraspe and Third Finalist Oriana Pablos.
Ever since its inception, Venezuela has won eight Miss International crowns showing its prominence in the pageantry. Congratulations to the newly crowned queen!
