Miss International Venezuela 2020 Isbel Cristina Parra Santos appointed as ambassador of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic route for Venezuela

Venezuela is prepping to compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games have been postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be the nation's nineteenth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics.

The Venezuelan Olympic committee recently held a press conference to share the new face of Venezuela’s delegation at the Olympics as they appointed Miss International Venezuela 2020 Isbel Cristina Parra Santos as their official ambassador.

 

 

Isbel also took to her social media to share the news as she said, “I was officially announced as the ambassador of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic route for Venezuela.” She added, “For me it is an immense honor to be part of this family, to know that my career as an athlete today continues to bear fruit and that through my role Today I can support all Venezuelan athletes who continue dreaming big and working to leave the name of our country high.

Isbel is herself well versed with a sports background. She is currently a coach of artistic gymnastics which has taught her the fundamentals of who she is and what she. She explained, “We have carried out gymnastic activities for low-income girls who want to learn the discipline, and those who show the interest to continue improving in this wonderful sport, become part of the scholarship program in charge of the board of directors of our club, always with the parental consent.”

She describes herself as very disciplined, responsible, honest, hard-working, and enterprising person. She is also determined to use her platform to promote and highlight the importance of doing some sporting activity from an early age, not only for physical health but also for mental health, thus achieving psychological well-being and a general balance.

 

 

Venezuelan athletes have won a total of fifteen medals at the Olympics so far, with boxing (six medals) being the most successful sport. Having someone like Isbel as their ambassador, the country is definitely putting forward a face that signifies discipline, responsibility, honesty and hardwork. The diva has also been preparing and is very excited to represent Venezuela at Miss International 2020 stage and believes in the realization of dreams, and that everything can be achieved with effort and dedication.

On 29 January 2021, following the Tokyo - 2020 Summer Olympics announcement that scheduled from July to August 2021, Miss International organization president Akemi Shimomura announced, the finale coronation night of Miss International 2021 will be scheduled on November 2021 in Pacifico Yokohama, Yokohama City - Japan.
