The 70th edition of Miss Iowa USA, i.e. Miss Iowa USA 2022, was held on 21st May 2022 at Des Moines Marriott Downtown, Des Moines, Iowa where Randi Estabrook was crowned the new queen. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Iowa USA 2021 Katie Wadman.
Randi Estabrook gave an outstanding performance at the finals. In 2020, Randi earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and exercise science. Not new to the pageantry, Randi also competed at Miss Iowa USA 2018 where she won the Miss Photogenic award and finished in the Top 13. In 2019, she competed at Miss Iowa USA 2019 where she finished in the Top 12.
On being crowned Miss Iowa USA 2022, she took to her official social media as she wrote, “What a surreal moment! Last night I was officially crowned Miss Iowa USA 2022. This year was my 5th time competing and I worked so hard to get better each time I came back. I am eternally grateful to everyone who supported me and helped me get here, I couldn’t have done it without all of you. My life has changed in the best way possible and I cannot wait for the year ahead.”
The newly crowned Miss Iowa USA 2022 Randi Estabrook’s court included –
1st runner-up – Abigaille Batu-Tiako
2nd runner-up – McKenzie Kerry
3rd runner-up – Hayley Buettell
4th runner-up – Caroline Sipiera
Top 16 also included Emily Gibson (Adel), Evelyn Deboer (Ames), Isiana Carr Coleman (Bremer County), Faith Bourgeacq (East Village), Alyssa McMillan (Johnson County), Abby Davis (Newton), Eliza Marks (Northeast Iowa), Kaylyn Peel (Polk County), Reilly Moeller (Scott County), Hannah Heckert (Sioux City), Aida Almanza (Story County).
Also at the finale, Marisa Mathson was crowned Miss Iowa Teen USA 2022 as she became the official representative of Iowa at Miss Teen USA 2022. Mackenzie Lorton, Carlie Jo Ahrenstorff, Madeline Erickson and Malinda Voortmann were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
