Miss Israel 2018 concluded with a grand ceremony on 30th April 2018. 12 finalists have selected from thousands of applicants. The girls fought head to head for the crown of Miss Israel 2018, and two emerged as winners of the Miss Universe Israel and Miss World Israel crowns.
18-year-old Nikol Reznikov was crowned as Miss Israel 2018 and will represent Israel at Miss Universe later this year. Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters will crown her successor at the Miss Universe 2018 finale night, and Nikol hopes to bring the crown back to Israel.
Nikol is from the province of Afula and is yet to graduate high school. She is also studying communications. Her father runs a department store in Iscar and her mother is a bookkeeper. She has a dog, Mickey and a cat, Jesse, and according to her, the two get along just fine.
She has three tattoos. One of them says: "Live only once." She is most connected to her great-grandmother Rosa, 80 years old. "It's more up-to-date than any of us," says Nicole. When her second grandmother passed away, she left her a sum of money specifically devoted to the purchase of diamond earrings. She has another diamond-studded piece, which she received from her uncle after she promised to remove the buzzer.
She volunteers in the oncology ward for children. "I was hospitalized as a child and I remember how lonely the hospitalization can be," she says. When she was little, a sheep bit her at the animal corner and she still has a scar in her buttocks.
She participated in the Miss Israel competition out of a desire to take advantage of media exposure and help the weak in the Israeli society. "Being a queen gives a lot of media power," she says, "and I want to do good with this power."
The lucky winners were chosen from the Top 4, which also included Amma Eitan (18) who won the title of "The Public's Favorite" and Taline Abu Hanna (23), who was the first transgender candidate in the history of the competition.
