The coronation ceremony of Miss Massachusetts USA 2020 was held on 12th January 2020 at Marriott Hotel Grand Ballroom in Burlington where the dazzling beauties from all over the state competed for the title. Sabrina Victor of Brockton was crowned Miss Massachusetts USA 2020 at the end of the event finale. She will be representing Massachusetts at Miss USA 2020. Sabrina succeeded Miss Massachusetts USA 2019 Kelly O’Grady of Cambridge.
Sabrina is 23-years-old model, actress, singer and performance activist. Sabrina has pursued dual degree in theatre and journalism which has helped her in shaping what she thinks about the world and the mark she hoped to leave on it. She also has a multicultural theatre certificate and was a member of the Commonwealth Honors College.
Sabrina started competing in pageants because she thought it would be a different way to earn scholarships money as opposed to writing an application because she believes that its hard to explain oneself on a piece of a paper. She already loved the stage and was very comfortable performing on the stage and winning the pageant is just like a cherry on the cake.
Sabrina is not new to pageantry as she has previously won Miss Black and Gold, Alpha Kappa Chapter, Miss Black and Gold, ONECA (Organization of New England Chapters of Alpha) District, Miss Eastern Region Black and Gold and The National Miss Black and Gold 2017-2019 and now, Miss Massachusetts USA 2020.
For preparing herself for competitions, Sabrina explained that she usually does lots of breathing exercises to clear her diaphragm and calm her nerves. She likes to pray before any performance as it gives her a sense of serenity. She wants to work within the community and cultivate a passion for arts amongst the youth and encourage people to #SpeakYourTruth. She believes in the motto “Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness”- Oprah Winfrey.

Other than the winner and her court, the contestants who also made it to Top 16 were Lareun Barnard, Oliva Bulgin, Julianna Corsi, Ashley Cunningham, Sarah DeSouza, Azia Hernandez, Oliva Kernis, Ashley Maiolatesi, Skarlet Ramirez, Caroline Sarnelli, and Nicole Vecino.
Along Miss Massachusetts USA 2020, Annika Sharma was crowned as Miss Teen Massachusetts USA 2020 and will representing Massachusetts at Miss Teen USA 2020. She succeeded Miss Teen Massachusetts USA 2019 Annie Lu of Cambridge. Annika Sharma’s court included Judy Li, Taylor Marino, Jordan Hudson and Jenny Gould who were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
