At the conclusion of the grand finale held at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute (MGI), in Moka, Murielle Ravina crowned as Miss Mauritius 2017 and she will now represent her country in the 68th edition of Miss World Contest to be held next year.
At the same event, Laetitia Begue was crowned Miss International Mauritius 2017 who will now represent in the Miss International 2017 pageant to be held on 14th November 2017in Tokyo Dome city, Japan and Lucinda Sandoce was crowned Miss Intercontinental Mauritius 2017 who will compete at Miss Intercontinental to be held in December in Mumbai, India.
Rishika Rama and Urvashi Haurheeram were declared as first and second runners-up respectively. Miss World Mauritius 2016 Bessika Bucktawor passed the crown and reign to her successor at the conclusion of the event.
Maurielle is 22 years of age and lives in Rose-Hill and works as a receptionist. Just after her victory, Murielle posted a thank you note on her Facebook page which says, “To all my people, Thank you, I have faced many hurdles over year but today I feel thankful and honored to represent the Republic and Thanks to the organization Miss Mauritius National Pageant 2017, to the contestants, my family, my friends, to acquaintances”.
“Efforts pay off but your love made me rise brighter, there can be miracles when you believed so thanks for believing in me,” she furthur said.
