Elizabeth Loaiza represented Colombia at Miss World 2006 stage on 30th September 2006 at the Sala Kongresowa auditorium of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Poland. She was just 18-years-old when she won the title of Miss Mundo Colombia 2006 and represented her country at Miss World 2006 stage. The diva’s personal motto was “He who dares, wins”. She was highly appreciated for her performance at the competition but unfortunately wasn’t placed.
Recently, Elizabeth has bravely revealed to her fans and followers that she is undergoing cancer treatment. She has shared a couple of pictures and videos with her family on her social media account to reveal the news of such a tragic thing with her fans and followers. She posted, “one day you're fine and the next day you have cancer.” She further added that it’s very hard to hear such news for the entire family and herself especially after leading a healthy, and a well-balanced life. She also stated that no one in her family believed her but turns out that it is all true and she has spent her time crying and feeling helpless but the universe has its own mysterious ways.
Elizabeth had mentioned that she will soon start her treatment in order to beat cancer as it had not metastasized anywhere and she is keeping her faith in god and the doctors to help her in such tough times. The beauty queen has also expressed with her fans that she may look sloppy in her pictures because, “'The pregnancy cells, even though I am no longer pregnant, continue to grow abnormally, so my body still believes that it is pregnant. Soon with the help of God and the Doctors, everything will be normal.”
According to a local newspaper, the diva had recently been pregnant but the fetus did not form properly and it was necessary for her to get some tests done after which the doctors revealed to her that she has cancer. “They found a lot of extra tissue growing in her uterus and it turned out to be cancer,” the newspaper mentioned. The diva also posted a video on her social media giving authenticity to the news.
Now, after her visit with the oncologist, she has shared what her treatment for the disease will be like. It has been a tough year for the model who also suffered from health problems after having an adverse reaction to a biopolymer injection into her bum and she had to have surgery to remove the substance from her body. However, the model told her followers she is feeling calm and surrounded by love.
