Leire Merino will be representing the province of Gipuzkoa at the national gala of Miss World Spain 2020. If Leire Merino wins the title of Miss World Spain, she’d be succeeding Maria Del Mar Aguilera. The pageant is going to be held on 13th June 2020 in Marina D'or. Leire Merino who was crowned as the 3rd Lady of Spain in January 2020 has succeeded Miss World Gipuzkoa 2019 Yaiza Etxaniz for the title.
Leire is 19-years-old and stands 176 cm tall. She is studying communication and audio-visual at Mondragon Unibertsitatea and works as a professional model, journalist and stewardess. She loves travelling, reading and literature. The diva is passionate about beauty pageants and feels that it is a platform which empowers women and let them feel confident and strong. After winning she exclaimed, “It is the prize for overcoming. It makes me want to keep going in these kinds of competitions”.
The young beauty queen has walked on-stage and played muse to several renowned designers, brands, makeup artists and photographers. Leire gained her share of experience from the designers, makeup artists, photographers, and her mentors which has helped her shape up her performance in a very positive and confident way. The people she has worked with her has mentioned that she is a quick learner and adapts to the situations very quickly and shows tremendous growth in her performance.
Leire is very excited and feels blessed that she has been given opportunity to represent her province of Gipuzkoa at Miss World Spain 2020. She wants to show her true values and emotions towards her country on-stage. She is also very excited to meet the other delegates of the competition because she feels that meeting them would help her shape up as a better person.
Leire strongly believes that women should be given opportunities to represent themselves as they are and not stereotyped as home-makers. They are powerful, beautiful and courageous which is why it is important for them to represented as they are. Beauty pageants help in doing that as the beautiful divas are expected to be confident and brush up their general knowledge. Due to the pre-pageant activities the diva tends to come out as strong and confident in order to win the title and a chance to represent the country at international pageants. Leire expects to be one of those and is working hard to secure her place at the competition. She wants to leave a mark on the audience as well as the judges of the competition as a strong contender.
The diva has started to prepare for the competition as she has started to work on her walk and communication and interview skills. She wants to be a strong role model for her fans and wants to reach out to various other people across the globe. She is experimental with her fashion and style and loves to showcase that too.
Leire loves to travel and expand her knowledge about different culture, values and traditions. She likes to meet new people and talk to them about anything that interests them in order to know their opinion. She feels honoured and blessed to be able to have an opportunity to represent her province at Miss World Spain 2020 and hopes to represent Spain at Miss World 2020 beauty pageant.
