The splendid finale of Nuestra Belleza Uruguay 2016 held on June 24, 2016 at Radisson Victoria Plaza de Montevideo concluded with the crowning of Romina Trotto as the winner. Romina will now represent Uruguay at the Miss World 2016 pageant. She succeeds Sherika de Armas Miss World Uruguay 2015.

19 years old Romina standing at an astounding height of 180 cm hails from Cerro Largo. She completed her education from Don Bosco School and is fond of basketball and enjoys swimming. She also likes visiting different states and making good friends at new place! Romina Trotto has been a model since adolescence. Her height has been her biggest advantage and has helped her grow and make a mark in the modelling industry. She had also won the prestigious title of Elite Model 2014 in Uruguay. The finale of Nuestra Belleza Uruguay 2016 saw the crowning of Melina Carballo as Miss Grand Uruguay 2016. She will now represent Uruguay at the Miss Grand International 2016 pageant. At the same event, Thalía García was adjudged as the first runner up, Sofía Algorta was announced as the second runner up and Johana Clara was declared as the third runner up.
