Miss Nederland 2019 (aka Miss Universe Netherlands 2019) is on the verge of crowning its new queen as the finale of the pageant is scheduled to be held on 30th June 2019, where ten finalists will compete for the national crown and the opportunity to represent Nederland in Miss Universe 2019 and Miss World 2019 pageant. The coronation night will witness the crowning of the new queen by the outgoing queen Rahima Ayla Dirkse, Miss Universe Nederland 2018 at the conclusion of the finale.
Miss Universe Nederland 2018 Rahima Ayla Dirkse represented Nederland in Miss Universe 2018 pageant. She rendered a valuable performance but unfortunately, she could not secure her place in Top 20. This year’s edition would be a room of hopes of the citizens from the new queen to perform better and secure a notable position in the finale.
Since the finale is all set to be hosted in June, the organization has unveiled the delegates who will compete in the pageant.

Miss Nederland is the annual national beauty pageant of Nederland (Netherlands), that selects the country's representatives for Miss Universe and Miss World international pageants. Prior to 1991, the national pageant was known as Miss Holland, and the Netherlands made its debut at Miss Universe in 1956. Since 1991, the pageant became known as Miss Netherlands, and in 2009 a new pageant system was founded as Miss Universe Nederland, with Kim Kötter Miss Netherlands 2002 as the president.
As the pageant also acquired the national franchise for Miss World in the same year, the name was changed to Miss Nederland. From 1991 to 2009, the winner of Miss Nederland represented the Netherlands both at Miss World and Miss Universe pageants. In 2010, the winner also represented Nederland at Miss Earth pageant. Since 2011, the pageant decided to select separate representatives for Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth, to adhere to the different perspectives which the three pageants offer. So, in the year 2011, three winners were hand-picked and sent to compete at the three international pageants. However, in 2012 the organization lost the Miss Earth franchise, and since then two winners Miss Universe Netherlands and Miss World Netherlands are being crowned.
