Miss Nederland 2019 held its grand coronation night on 30th June 2019 where Sharon Pieksma was crowned Miss Netherlands 2019 and became the official representative of Netherlands in Miss Universe 2019. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Netherlands 2018 Rahima Ayla Dirkse.
A model by profession, Sharon impressed everyone with her outstanding performance at the finale. She took to her official social media to express her emotions in a post captioned, “Wauw, this picture says everything. Thank you Miss Nederland for believing in me, giving me bigger power to bring my vision into this world. “A planet with less plastic” so excited for this year, and all the beautiful things I will do. & I can’t wait for Miss Universe whaaaa!! And, I want to thank all my other beautiful misses for creating these moments together.”
At the conclusion of the finale, Fabienne Davelaar was adjudged the first runner-up of the contest. Leontine Brns was awarded the title of Miss Social Media.
Ten contestants who competed for the title of Miss Nederland 2019 were Amal Lahmaj, Fabiënne Davelaar, Lisa van Zuylen, Daphne Albers, Leontien Berns, Jeanin Marcus, Nastasja Popovic, Terry Groenen, Sharon Pieksma, Dalia Fawzy.
