The Miss Nederlands organization is all set to host the 2022 edition of the national pageant and the coronation ceremony on 4th September 2022, where stunning divas from all over the country will compete for the national title and the opportunity to represent the Netherlands at the Miss Universe 2022 competition. This year’s winner will succeed the reigning Miss Nederlands 2021 Julia Sinning.
The organization has recently announced the Top 10 finalists consisting of strong, passionate, and potential divas who are competing against each other for the coveted crown. So, without any further ado, here are the Top 10 finalists of Miss Nederlands 2022 –
Eva van de Wetering
21 years-old Eva lives in Zaltbommel and describes herself as an honest, caring and spontaneous person. She is currently working in the catering industry as a waitress. With her participation in Miss Nederlands, she would like to spread positivity and inspire people to take better care of their physical and mental health. Eva also stands for the independence of women who are appreciated for who they are, not only for how they look.
Lisa Janssen
Hailing from Utrecht, 22 years-old Lisa is the owner of ‘The Sales Company Utrecht’. She aims at creating a big platform where she can discuss mindset, manifesting, and spirituality. Lisa hopes to teach people to feel more and trust their intuition, stand in their power and become the best version they can be, by neutralizing all obstacles and having a positive mindset.
Insa Ap
Currently living in Amsterdam, Insa hails from Groningen and is 25 years old. With the Miss Nederland platform, she wants to make the first step to personal development more approachable for young people and young adults. She believes that everyone deserves to become the best version of themselves and be supported in this.
Victoria De Castro Barbosa
Victoria is 22 years old, was born in Brazil and moved to the Netherlands when she was 6 years old. The diva aims at showing young women that they don’t have to have the perfect size or height to participate in something like this. As long as you believe in yourself you can always achieve anything you want and through an event. She would also love to inspire and motivate other young girls.
Ona Moody
24 years-old Ona was raised and born in Amsterdam. Coming from a mixed heritage, her father is from Zimbabwe and mother is from the Netherlands. Moody thinks diversity and equal opportunities for everyone are very important and would like to inspire people. She hopes to contribute to that awareness and to empower young people to follow their dreams.
Solange Dekker
Solange is 26 years old and living in Amsterdam. Her daily job includes working at her own company called 'Solange Productions', where they offer services for luxury hosting at events, festivals, and restaurants. Next to that, she is also working on television, sometimes as a presenter for shows like BNN vara, other times as an appearance for shows like 'De alleskunner'. By participating in the competition, she wants to make more information accessible for HIV and aids, achieve better sexual education in schools, and more transgender representation in the Netherlands.
Rebecca Berhane
22-year-old Rebecca wants to draw attention to the disease Alopecia, by participating in Miss Nederlands, as she herself contracted the disease a few years ago and fought against self-image issues. She wants to inspire people by propagating, “You don't have to go through your insecurities.” She hopes for people to turn their vulnerabilities into strengths.
Judith Van Den Hof
Judith is 21 years old and works in the Aviation Services as well as a Weight consultant. As Miss Nederland, her goal is to make women familiar again with the realistic image of the women’s body. She wants to help them overcome insecurities and bring back the time of confident and strong women.
Indra Peereboom
22 years-old Indra is a social therapist working in a rehab clinic and resides in Uden. She believes, “Where there is a will there is a way as long as you believe in it!” and hence wants to inspire people to believe in themselves. “You can achieve anything as long as you believe in it! Be you and believe in yourself,” she shared.
Lefania Camara
The youngest in the batch, 18 years-old Lefania is a student fashion product coordinator living in Apeldoorn. With the stage that Miss Nederlands is offering, Lefania wants want to give everyone that being yourself is more than okay. She wants people to think about their accomplements in life and celebrate their growth without comparing themselves with others that are living a different way of life on another level just so you can be proud if yourself and see the value of you.
