The organization of Miss Nederland hosted the coronation ceremony for Miss Nederland 2021 at Studio 21 in Hilversum on 29th August 2021, where Julia Sinning was crowned as the new queen. Julia succeeds Miss Nederland 2020, Denise Speelman, for the crown and will represent the country at Miss Universe 2021 in Israel in December.
Hailing from Amsterdam, Julia is 24-years-old. She has a degree in communications and has also studied acting at the Amsterdam Academy of Film Actors. She currently works as an actress and presenter. She is a half Dutch and half Indonesian beauty.
Julia mentioned, "With my participation, I want to change the image of the perfect picture." As a perfectionist, I have long strived for my own perfection. I had to keep testing myself and I had to keep acting, which made me put a lot of pressure on myself. What I did was never good enough. Who was never good enough? Nothing was good enough. Then I went to Spain to find peace and power within, and now I feel stronger than ever. The beauty queen is determined and dedicated to her dreams as she knew from an early age what she wanted to do, act. When she was 13-years-old, she took dance, singing, and theatre lessons at the musical school FanWorks and has appeared in series and films. Julia also works as a commercial and hair model. She has modelled for Radio538, Bol.com, Brunotti, and Keune Haircosmetics, among others.
The jury praised her as "a beautiful, pure woman who dares to show herself. She is a Miss of this time: a nice, tough girl who dares to step out of her comfort zone and who can appeal to a wide audience". She showcased immense dedication and determination throughout the competition and the zeal to win the crown, which managed to impress the audience as well as the jury.
The diva is confident, strong, and focused on winning the crown for the country and will soon start her preparations for the competition. Her experience as a model, host, and actress will surely help her during the competition.
