Miss Nederland 2020 hosted its coronation night on 31st August 2020 at Studio 21, Hilversum where Denise Speelman was crowned the new queen and the opportunity to represent Netherlands in Miss Universe 2020. Miss Nederland 2019 Sharon Pieksma crowned her successor at the end of the event finale.

Denise Speelman bested nine other contenders to win the national crown. Denise is 20 years of age and stands 185 cm tall. With her title, Denise wishes to hold open discussions about eating disorders and body positivity since she had to deal with this in the past. Born and raised in Groningen, Denise won Miss Noord Nederland in 2014 and then moved to Amsterdam where she now also runs her styling company.

As Denise won the crown, Sophie Alink was adjudged the runner-up at the end of the event finale. She also performed with dedication and sincerity at the competition. Sigrid Laura was awarded the title of Miss Social Media while Fae Milder was awarded the title of Miss Congeniality.

Miss Nederland 2020 jury also consisted of photographer William Rutten, Monique Westenberg, Albert Verlinde, Kristina Bozilovic, Viktor Brand and Monica van Ee along with Sharon Pieksma Miss Nederland 2019.

Ten stunning beauties who competed at Miss Nederland 2020 are Sigrid Laura, Sanne ten Kate, Fae Milder, Roos Sophie van Twisk, Dominique Hazeleger, Sharida Senior, Leyla Haji-zade, Sophie Alink, Rosalin and Denise Maria.

Last year, Sharon Pieksma Miss Nederland 2019 represented her country at Miss Universe 2019 but unfortunately failed to place in the Top 20. Netherlands holds one Miss Universe crown under its belt as Angela Visser was crowned Miss Universe 1989.
