Miss Norway 2017 pageant is scheduled to be held on 29th July 2017 and at the conclusion of the pageant, the representative to Miss Universe 2017. This year, the pageant will also select a representative to Miss World 2017 pageant. The Miss Norway Organisation now also owns the Miss World franchise.
The changes were made after the previous franchise holder - who only managed to stage a pageant night in 2012 - failed to appoint a candidate last year. Therefore, at the conclusion of the finale of Miss Norway 2017, Miss Universe Norway 2017 and Miss World Norway 2017 will be crowned. Unlike the past years, this year, no representatives for Miss International and Miss Grand International will be crowned. The organization also promises more exciting surprises this year.
Talking about the Miss Universe pageant, Norway has won the Miss Universe title only once, which was in the year 1990. This year the organization is focusing on crowning two deserving representatives for the international pageants, and is all set to put the country back under the spotlight again. The judges for the finale are - internationally awarded hair-stylist and Director of Studio S. Style – Lillestrøm, Ms Svetlana Jouini, and Mr. Jesse Ambrosio. The panel of jury will be headed by the respected master of eyebrow design, Mr Fred Hamelten.
This year, 15 finalists are competing for the coveted title.
