Trash to Class Contest of MPE 2017 to be held tonight

Miss Philippines Earth 2017 pageant is moving towards the finale and is scheduled to be held on 15th July 2017. 40 finalists are vying for the coveted title this year, and only one will earn the prestigious opportunity to represent Philippines at the Miss Earth 2017 pageant.

 

Trash to Class Contest of MPE 2017 to be held tonight

            

The contestants are going through a series of Preliminary Events and activities. One of the major events, Trash to Class contest, is going to be held tonight at Versailles Palace, Alabang. The ‘Trash to Class’ contest will see the finalists showcase the importance of "Reduce, Reuse, And Recycle" in the most creative, artistic and fashionable way.

‘Trash To Class’ is a unique fashion show organised by Miss Philippines Earth Organisation every year, where each year the eco ambassadors exhibit their ensemble made of local and everyday materials.

Recently, the Talent Competition was held for the Singing Category, wherein the girls showcased their musical talent and impressed the judges with their beautiful performances. Based on their performance, the following contestants were announced as the winners –

GOLD: Miss El Salvador City 2017 Elizabeth Amahan

SILVER: Makati City 2017 Rheena Rae Ferrer

BRONZE: Miss Olongapo City 2017 Kim de Guzman and Miss Mandaluyong City 2017 Shane Tormes

Miss Philippines Earth originally called “Miss Philippines” is an annual national beauty pageant held in Philippines every year that selects representatives for the Miss Earth international pageant. In case the winner does not qualify due to age or other reasons, a runner-up is sent instead. The Miss Earth pageant abides by the motto of “Beauty With A Cause.” Miss Philippines Earth is a beauty pageant held in search of the most beautiful and environmentally-friendly woman in the Philippines.
