The finale of Femina Miss India 2017 has come to an end and Manushi Chhillar has been crowned as the new Miss India. Manushi will represent India at the Miss World 2017 pageant which is scheduled to be held in China later this year.

Manushi is a model by profession and is a medical student. Dancing, Painting, Singing, Poetry writing are some of her hobbies. She was one of the finalists of Campus Princess 2017. Sana Dua from Jammu & Kashmir was adjudged the first runner-up, and Priyanka Kumari from Bihar was announced as the second runner-up.
The Miss India pageant is organised by Femina, a women's magazine published by Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. From 1964 to 1975 the winner of Miss India was sent to Miss Universe and a runner up was sent to Miss Asia Pacific. Later in 1976, Miss India got the franchise of Miss World and three winners were chosen to represent India at Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Asia Pacific.
