At the conclusion of the grand finale of Miss Slovenia 2017 held at the Gospodarsko Razstavišce, Maja Zupan has been crowned as Miss Slovenia 2017 and she will now represent Slovenia in the Miss World 2017 pageant to be held on 18th November 2017 in Sanya, China.
At the same event, Lana Krajnc was titled as first runner-up and Patricia Finster were adjudged as second runner-up.
Just after the win, Maja’s friends posted her picture to congratulate her on her win and gave her the best wishes for Miss World competition.
“We are so proud of you little Maja. You are truely young inspiring woman, congrats on becoming Miss Slovenia World 2017”, her friend posted.
She bested 14 other candidates to clinch the coveted title of Miss Slovenia 2017. The other finalists were: Ariana Hodžic, Katja Gabrovec, Tina Mede, Monika Pfajfar, Lara Stenovets, Elmedina Berisha, Katarina Rondic, Nina Dolic, Špela Budic, Laura Katarina Jularic, Sergeja Kržan, Nina Rems.
Maja Zupan was also awarded the title of Miss Personality and she was also chosen the Lady of Big Heart whereas Nina Dolic was chosen as Miss Photogenic by the users of Social networking site Facebook.
The question that made her win was, “As Miss Slovenia, how will you create an impact on young girls to make them understand that Health is more important than beauty?
To which she answered, I think that beauty is too unhealthy today, it is in the direction for which girls can do everything for beauty, even if they have to ignore their health. I think that health is beauty. A healthy girl is self-confident and we all know that the most beautiful girls are usually self-confident because they take care of themselves and their health. "
