Miss South Africa 2022, 64th edition of Miss South Africa, will be held in August 2022. Lalela Mswane of KwaZulu-Natal will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The winner will represent South Africa at either Miss Universe 2022, Miss World 2022 or Miss Supranational 2023.

The organization announced Top 30 delegates who have begun their journey at the national contest. In a series of features, lets know more about these delegates. Boniswa Mapisa, from from Alberton in Gauteng, has made it to Top 30.

Boniswa Mapisa is 27 years of age and hails from Alberton in Johannesburg. She is currently in the final year of her studies towards an LLB degree through the University of South Africa. Boniswa is a natural hair enthusiast and has her own YouTube channel where she posts hair care content.

Mapisa also manufactures her own hair care products and has her own hair care brand ‘Shema Hair Luxury’. Mapisa also considers herself as a visionary with a broad perspective of critical issues such as the economy.

As a praise for Miss South Africa pageant, Mapisa quotes, “Over the years it has evolved into more than just a beauty pageant but a vehicle that exposes an emerging and authentic calibre of young women leaders. I deserve to win because I am that type of leader and I am ready to rise to the occasion.”

The stunning beauty’s interests also include agriculture as she plays her role in the community by supplying food to local communities through the family-run smallholding often at her own cost in these challenging economic times and more especially during the hard lockdown of 2020. Mapisa will definitely be a strong competitor for the national crown if she continues her preparation with dedication and sincerity.
