Miss South Africa 2022, 64th edition of Miss South Africa, will be held in August 2022. Lalela Mswane of KwaZulu-Natal will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The winner will represent South Africa at either Miss Universe 2022, Miss World 2022 or Miss Supranational 2023.

The organization announced Top 30 delegates who have begun their journey at the national contest. In a series of features, lets know more about these delegates. Lisanne Lazarus, from Amanzimtoti, Durban in KwaZulu-Natal, has made it to Top 30.

Lisanne Lazarus took to her official social media, on making it to Top 30, as she wrote, “I am just speechless. So incredibly grateful to have another opportunity at pursuing one of my biggest dreams. My hearts desires are unfolding and I’m inviting all of YOU who’ve been on this journey with me before to hold my hand and walk it again with me by downloading the Miss South Africa app and clicking on the link in my bio to vote for me to be in your Top 10!”

Lisanne holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the Durban University of Technology where she graduated cum laude and received the Dean’s Merit Award. She currently works as a content marketing manager at Vodacom Financial Services. Lisanne made it to the Top 30 in 2021 but she did not make it to the Top 10. However, that has not stopped her from trying again.

As a participant in Miss South Africa 2022, Lisanne’s advocacy is education at an early childhood development level. She firmly believes that education brought her to where she is today and education will take her further. She believes if she can educate every single child on South African soil, starting from a childhood development level.

She is inspired by the previous Miss South Africa titleholders that stood before her. She says that just like the previous pageant queens, she hopes to be a vessel of hope and opportunity. “I wanted to be Miss South Africa since I was a little girl. I used to watch all the previous winners and contestants get onto that platform and really use it to catapult the rest of their lives. I’ve been inspired by many of their stories and I would like to use that platform to pay it forward, share my story and if I could inspired just one little girl or child to never give up on their dreams, be the change they want to be and shatter their own glass ceilings then I would have fulfilled my purpose,” said Lisanne.
