The 65th edition of Miss South Africa was held on 13th August 2023 at the SunBet Arena, Time Square, Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa where fan-favourite Natasha Joubert was crowned as the new Miss South Africa 2023. Since Natasha has already represented her country once at Miss Universe as an appointed delegate, she will be representing her country at Miss Supranational 2024.
Natasha is 26 years of age and a graduate of marketing management. An entrepreneur, Natasha’s second attempt at Miss South Africa landed her the win as the whole country rooted for her since the beginning of the competition. Natasha’s win is a testament to the never giving up attitude and working hard towards the goals.
Also at the finale, Bryoni Natalie Govender, from Kempton Park in Gauteng, was adjudged as the first runner-up at the end of the event finale. Ideally, Bryoni would be representing South Africa at Miss Universe 2023, however no official confirmation has been given until now. Along with her, Nande Mabala finished the court as the second runner-up impressing everyone with her strong oratory skills.
Top 5 also included Homba Mazaleni and Melissa Nayimuli while Anke Rothmann and Jordan van der Vyver were completed the batch of Top 7 finalists. The pageant was held in the reality show format for the first time as ‘Crown Chasers’.

The event was hosted by award-winning television presenter, radio personality, actress, and social media personality Bonang Matheba while Siki Jo-An, Jimmy Nevis, Brenda Mtambo, Robot Boii were the performers at the coronation night.
The accomplished panel of jury included Leandie Du Randt – actress, presenter, author and entrepreneur; R'Bonney Gabriel – Miss Universe 2022 from the United States; Devi Sankaree Govender – investigative television journalist; Thuso Mbedu – actress; Jo-Ann Strauss – Miss South Africa 2001.
